Carriers & Owner-Operators
Simply stated, the AIPBA believes in a fair and level playing field. That's why we invite the input and associate membership of regulated interstate motor carriers, owner-operators, company truck drivers and shippers. AIPBA seeks to create networking opportunities for all the players to share concerns, get together, iron out their differences, and do business.
But, we believe that doing business doesn't have to be a matter of carrier-versus-broker. It should be more about "teamwork, fairness and integrity." Much like OOIDA, we're here to promote the interests of the "little guys" in the Industry... and that includes owner-operators. In fact, the AIPBA supports an increase in the property broker bond from $10,000 to $25,000 to adjust for inflation.
We're reaching out to other trade groups like ATA, OOIDA and NITL that represent the interests of carriers, truckers and shippers in the hopes of fighting fraud, encouraging and ensuring ethical business practices, and creating fair and balanced model contracts among carriers, property brokers and shippers.
